1. Recently you have released your new album "Black toys" which is going great so far and has been played & charted from lots of artists around the world. What is the story behind this album as also it sounds quite different from your previous work.
I think there are also many parallels in the sound. Also the first two albums have a certain groove in it and you could feel that itīs sometimes not taking itself so serious.But of course the music and production style develops over the time, now I would say that my sound is also more inspired by soul music somehow. I like when its a warm sound.
2. Also you have established your second record label UKW. Your aims on this project?
The UKW Label is for John Starlight and Zombie Nation only, and for collaborations and other stuff that is somehow related to my two Projects. In April for example a Remix 12" will be released, including Remixes of Headman and Yuksek of the Black Toys Album Track Peace & Greed
3. How does it feel like being a zombie?
Itīs pretty good. You donīt have to be afraid of anything because you are dead already!
4. So numerous releases, Lp's performances all around the world...What else is out there to explore music wise?
This is only the beginning! This year I want to do more collaborations with other people and spend more time in the studio than on the road.
5. On the 5th of may wou will perform for the first time on the Pre-reworks event which is going to take place on Thessaloniki. Any expectations as already you played a few times in Greece.
I always liked playing in Greece for NON, especially Thessaloniki. I meet nice people that I hope to see again this time, and the parties were always strong and good.
6. Your favourite thing about Greece
Greek Zombies of course !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
